"Secret Garden IV" is the fourth of a series of 4 completed paintings. Whether displayed individually or together, these little floral paintings are sure to enchant any space they are placed in. 

Electrifying blues and turquoises of the abstracted and moody background, reminiscent of outer space, are grounded by the realistic depiction of a stunning orchid with a detailed, colorful center that pops forward. 

Why a blue orchid? Orchids, especially those blue in color, are symbols of one's own uniqueness, rarity, and therefore become automatically luxurious in nature. Other than their stunning physical beauty, the blue tones of its petals have been associated with meditation and spirituality across several cultures, which is why I chose to give it that "outer space-y" kind of background, a reflection of the sensations felt similarly when in a state of prayer or meditation.
