while the stars around us dance and whirl.

Whether others cheer us on

or if we have to find our own way

we spread our wings and jump

knowing our Destiny will catch us

and gracefully lift us as we

soar to new heights.

I created this painting to not only celebrate the powerful symbolism of owls and flight, but also to honor the majesty of Life itself, the invisible fabric that is inexplicable yet brilliantly inescapable.  Magic is everywhere. Whether seen or unseen, it is at work behind the scenes making sure we land where we are meant to be. We just have to spread our wings and take off, trusting that we can go the distance. 

"Riding the Winds of Magic" contains layers of charcoal, inks, spray paint and thick oil paint. It features texture mediums that make the owl feel like it's about to fly off the canvas.
